The Super Mud Slurry Drilling System has been used in various foundation slurry drilling applications: drilled shaft (bored pile), diaphragm wall, tieback drilling, and slurry wall construction throughout the world successfully. Super Mud slurry, a synthetic polymer drilling fluid, available in both liquid and granular forms stabilize excavations, maintain cleanliness of the hole, and promote strong load capacity.
Super Mud and Super Mud Dry have excellent stabilization properties and easy to use. They simplify the process of mixing, excavation, concrete placement, and are recyclable. Only a small amount is needed to yield a slurry with a viscosity of 40 plus, which is sufficient to work in most soil conditions, even in saltwater conditions.
Prior to mixing, always buffer the makeup water with Water Treat, a pH conditioner, to a pH range of 8-10. The properties of the slurry have to be maintained throughout the excavation process. Monitoring of the slurry properties is easy with the aid of custom made slurry drilling fluid test kits.
When excessive fluid loss is encountered, Aquasorb, a fluid loss control agent, can regulate the situation. Aquasorb absorbs many hundreds of times its own weight in water and swells to form a durable crystalline gel.
Super Mud slurries have excellent settling properties and drop most of the cuttings to the bottom of the hole in a short period of time; however, if faster settlement is desired, Quik Floc, a liquid polymer designed for rapid flocculation should be used.
Super Mud slurries are renewable and recyclable. They can be broken down easily with bleach for easy disposal. |
