Slurry & Additives
SUPER MUD SLURRY SYSTEM • SUPER MUD
Uses: Brackish Water, Drilling Agent, Fluid Loss, Low Solids, Mud Remover, Settling Agent, Shale/Clay
A liquid polymer slurry which is primarily used as a viscosifying agent and as a soil stabilizer to prevent sloughing and/or collapse of a borehole. Super Mud is far easier to use that any bentonite. 5 Gallons of Super Mud is Equivalent to 1 Ton of Conventional Bentonite.
SUPER MUD DRY
Uses: Brackish Water, Drilling Agent, Fluid Loss Grout/Seal, Hardness, Low Solids, Mud Remover, NSF® Certified, Settling Agent, Shale/Clay, Surfactant
An environmentally safe synthetic soil stabilizer in granular form which is designed to be used in place of bentonite as drilling fluid. Super Mud Dry has the ability to quickly impart a very high viscosity (100 plus Marsh Funnel Viscosity) and creates fish-eye structures within its body to assist in plugging the walls of the borehole, which reduces fluid loss.
Water absorbent polymer, is a crosslinked modified polyacrylamide which absorbs many hundreds of times its own weight in water and swells to form a durable crystalline gel. These gel particles do not dissolve, but continue to swell with time, making a seal in the pore spaces of formation; thus, eliminating fluid loss.
Uses: Settling Agent
A selective mud flocculent in liquid form, packaged in 5 gallon, resealable plastic pails, which aids in the settlement of solids. Quik Floc reduces the time required for settlement by rapidly agglomerating silt and other micron size particles that are suspended within the slurry and settles them to the bottom of the excavation allowing for easy removal by cleanout bucket or airlift system. Flocculation time will vary depending upon concentration of suspended fines.
A pH conditioning additive which is designed to enhance the performance of the slurry. When added to a slurry, Water Treat increases the pH of the slurry and precipitates metallic ions, such as calcium and magnesium, as insoluble carbonates making them neutral or non-contamination. Water Treat is especially useful and necessary when acidic water is used, acidic soil or groundwater is encountered, or when brackish or saltwater condition exists.
